Terms and Conditions of STEM DEN

STEM DEN Ltd will only undertake Business under the following Terms and Conditions, each of which shall be incorporated or implied in any agreements between STEM DEN and The Clients. No variations of these Terms and Conditions shall be binding unless expressly confirmed by STEM DEN in writing and signed by the Director of STEM DEN.

The Client is bound by these Terms and Conditions once they commence using our service. These terms may change over time however the latest version is always available on our web site. The client is bound by these once completing our online registration.

1. STEM DEN acts as a childcare facility for children between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00, from Monday to Friday during specified dates during holiday periods at St. John’s School. Dates are available on our website booking service.

2. Bookings must be made in advance to secure a place for your child, and in order to arrange staff. This can be done via our website with full payment only; we cannot secure a place via phone or by email.

3. Children will be expected to bring a healthy snack, a bottled non fizzy drink and a healthy lunch. This must not contains NUTS. Please do not bring sweets.

4. It is the parent’s responsibility to read this information. If there are any incorrect days booked in this confirmation you must contact us immediately to ensure it is put right and you will be sent a second confirmation email with the correct details.

5. If you wish to cancel an official booking, we need two week's notice. If you cancel a booking at short notice due to other arrangements or sickness you will not be refunded for the days booked. This includes for self isolation or for Covid related illness.

6. ALL camp fees are to be paid in full, in advance of attendance.

7. If days are fully booked. parents can email stemdennorthwood@gmail.com and ask to be added to the waiting list. They should specify the dates/weeks they are looking for. If a space becomes available then they will be emailed and offered the place on a first come, first served basis.

8. We close at 16:00 if parents are running late we charge £10 per 15 mins and payment is required on arrival to collect your child. We must be informed before 15.00 of your expected arrival time. If this is not done, we may need to contact social services. Please be aware that staff have other commitments after our STEM DEN sessions. Collection can be made at any time before camp ends.

10. If for some reason STEM DEN cannot operate the a full refund will be given.

11. Photographs/videos of your child may be used for our adverts or displays. These photos or videos may also be on our website or Facebook page or other promotional material.

12. Children attending STEM DEN camps will be working in a workshop and using real tools, such as soldering irons, drills, fret saws and sublimation printing equipment. Children are all instructed on how to use the equpiment safely. The children must use the equipment safely, as they have been shown. Failure to follow or listen to the safety guidelines when using tools may endanger their safety or the safety of others. If these rules cannot be followed then your child may be asked to leave the camp. A refund will not be given.

13. When booking your child into and as soon as they attend the camp, you are bound by our Terms and Conditions.

14. A sibling discount of 5% per second child can be made at the discretion of the Director of Stem Den Ltd. This is a stand alone offer and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

15. Offers may be made from time to time by using a promotional code. This is a stand alone offer and cannot be used with any other promotion or discount.

16. Covid-19 - Working during the time of this pandemic is a challenging for all. We expect that all children taking part in STEM DEN camps are free from Covid-19 symptoms and will not be brought to STEM DEN if they have been requested to self isolate for a given period. The children will be asked to comply with our risk assessment by washing hands frequently, socially distancing from children and adults outside of their school or family bubble. Parents must be on hand to collect children quickly should they show symptoms of Covid- 19 or any other contagious illness. A refund will not be offered in case of illness of any kind.
